The person who has difficulty in making decisions is unstable. He wavers between right and wrong according to his feelings, according to what his friends think, or according to what the world does. We need to make more decisions for Christ. The unstable person will not be able to make decisive decisions.

Gen 49:4  Unstable as water, thou shalt not excel; because thou wentest up to thy father’s bed; then defiledst thou it: he went up to my couch.

The unstable person will not have the wisdom of God to make right decisions,  if we lack in wisdom the Bible says to ask of God.

Jas 1:5  If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.

A double-minded person will constantly fall into sin, but the bible says that though a man falls 7 times he will rise again.

Decisiveness is shown when you use what you have learned to make decisions to do what is right.

Pro 13:16  Every prudent man dealeth with knowledge: but a fool layeth open his folly.

No matter how you feel, no matter what the difficulties are, no matter how strong the peer pressure is – if you are a decisive person you will be able to make Godly decisions, and if you study God’s word every day you will be more like Christ and be able to make right decisions.

Psa 16:8  I have set the LORD always before me: because he is at my right hand, I shall not be moved.

Jos 24:15  And if it seem evil unto you to serve the LORD, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD.

Pro 22:3

A prudent man foreseeth the evil, and hideth himself: but the simple pass on, and are punished.

Being decisive is being prudent.
