Generosity is shown in the life of a person who has habits of being willing to share time, money, and talents to help others. A generous person gives of himself unselfishly, seeking to serve others according to the will of God.

Generosity includes the giving of yourself to God. Through the blood of Jesus Christ, you have been bought by Him, delivered from an eternity in Hell, and promised an eternity in Heaven. 1 Cor. 6:19,20 Rom. 6:23 Everything that you have and all that you need is provided for you by the Lord. Jn. 3:27 2 Peter 1:3 As Jesus Christ willingly gave Himself for you (Rom. 5:8 Jn. 10:18), you should be willing to give of yourself to do all that He asks you to do. Phil. 3:7 1 Cor. 15:3 Mark 8:35 Rom. 12:1

As a Christian you must fight with determination against the desires of your flesh and against the example set by the world. About these last days God’s Word says, “For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous…” 2 Tim. 3:2a The people of the world today seek for themselves attention, comfort, pleasure, convenience, things, and popularity. As a Christian you should work as a servant – forsaking selfish desires to please Him who gave Himself for you. Mt. 20:26-28 Mt. 16:24-26

The Bible says in John 3:27, “A man can receive nothing except it be given him from Heaven.”

Look up each of the following verses to discover some of the many things that God has given to His children.
